Orbis From the Field: COVID-19 Emergency Vision Fund
The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged our global health services in ways we’ve never seen before, but the extraordinary need and urgency of what we do at Orbis hasn't changed. Our sight-saving work is just as important as ever - maybe more.
Like so many other charities, the COVID-19 pandemic has hit Orbis hard. Our donations have dropped significantly as many of us are feeling the impact of this global health crisis.
In response to this urgent need, we’ve created the COVID-19 Emergency Vision Fund to raise money for essential Orbis programs that are now in jeopardy – programs that provide critical eye care for babies and children, their parents and the elderly who are even more vulnerable now than ever before.
We need you – our amazing donors and supporters – to join us in showing the power of kindness and generosity at a time when we've never needed it more. We know it’s not an ideal time to ask, but we truly hope you’ll consider helping us now when we need it most – when we need you most!
Your donations will help Orbis right now as we continue to support our in-country hospital partners to deliver urgent and emergency eye care services – whenever and wherever possible.
This is a pivotal moment for Orbis and the hundreds of millions of people suffering from blindness and visual impairment around the world. We have to act now.
We need your support now more than ever before.
