FedEx Canada

Since 2009, FedEx Canada has been the National Event Sponsor of Plane Pull for Sight, our annual signature fundraising event taking place in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. With the support of FedEx and its team members across Canada, Plane Pull for Sight has raised more than $2.3 million to support Orbis's sight-saving work around the world.

OBAT Canada

With support from OBAT Canada, we are working with our partners to reduce preventable vision loss and blindness due to cataracts among Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar District, Bangladesh. In most cases, a cataract can be removed – and a person’s vision restored – with a simple, quick and inexpensive surgery.

Donner Canadian Foundation

With the continued support of the Donner Canadian Foundation, we're working to reduce avoidable blindness and visual impairment among newborns and children in underserved rural communities in Bangladesh by scaling up pediatric eye health capacity and improving access to high-quality eye care services, particularly in the area of ROP.

The Hon. Dr. Vivienne Poy

The Hon. Dr. Vivienne Poy is a Director Emeritus of Orbis Canada and a long-time generous supporter of Orbis's work around the world. Most recently, this support has focused on creating women-led green vision centres in rural areas of Bangladesh.

Fig Tree Foundation

With support from Fig Tree Foundation, we're establishing a women-led green vision centre in Itna Upazila, Bangladesh. The vision centre will create community-level access to affordable, sustainable, high-quality essential eye care services for families in the remote village.

Leonardo Canada

With support from Founding Partner, Leonardo Canada, Orbis Canada launched a new study with the potential to revolutionize the way people living with diabetes in remote or underserved communities are screened for diabetic eye disease, particularly diabetic retinopathy.

Since 2020, Santen Pharmaceutical Co. has partnered with Orbis to help prevent avoidable blindness and vision loss around the world. Through a ten-year partnership, Orbis and Santen will improve access to quality eye care in communities around the world, with a focus on digital ophthalmic training and awareness raising, particularly in Asia.

Alcon Foundation

The Alcon – Orbis relationship began in 1979, three years before Orbis’s first Flying Eye Hospital program. Over more than four decades, Alcon has donated state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment, pharmaceuticals and supplies for the Flying Eye Hospital and its partner hospitals around the world.
