Plane Pull for Sight Cleared for Takeoff in 2019!

Orbis Canada's ultimate team-building tug-of-war challenge is back for another exciting year in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. Gather your team and join us on the tarmac for a day of family fun as we pull together to end avoidable blindness around the world.

Is Your Team Ready to Pull for Our Team?

Plane Pull for Sight is a fun, unique and family-friendly team-building event where teams of up to 20 people – friends, family, colleagues, coworkers – compete to pull a 60-tonne FedEx 757 cargo plane along a 20 ft. course in the ultimate tug-of-war test of strength, determination and teamwork!

Along with the pull itself, there will be a whole bunch of other fun games and activities for participants and their families to enjoy. A giant obstacle course, bouncy castles, mini-putt, climbing wall, face-painting and so much more! And, of course, one of the highlights of the day is always the Kids' Pull.

With the support of our National Event Sponsor, FedEx Express Canada, and the 76 teams who gave it their all, 2018 was a record-smashing year of fun and fundraising. Together, we raised more than $322,800 - the most ever in the 10-year history of the event...and we can't wait to do it all again this year.

Register your team today, start fundraising, and get ready to pull hard...really hard! Join us on the tarmac this summer in one of three cities:

What You Need to Know

Here are some important details you'll need to know about this year's event:

  1. Teams are required to raise a minimum of $2,500
  2. There is a maximum of 20 people per team allowed to pull at one time. If you have more than 20 people, that's great! As long as you raise enough to cover the minimum for 2 teams ($5,000) then you can have two teams...and so on.
  3. All team members must be registered. There is a $25 per team member registration fee that must be paid at the time of registration. Your registration fee goes towards your personal fundraising total, as well as your team's total.
  4. While we really encourage every member to contribute to the team's fundraising efforts, as long as your team as a whole raises the $2,500 minimum, everyone gets to pull (up to a max. of 20 people)
  5. Don't think you can gather a team of 20 people? No problem! As long as your team raises the $2,500 minimum, it doesn't matter how many people you have - there are always plenty of eager volunteers or members of other teams who are happy to jump in and help your team pull.
