With poor vision – or no vision at all – children face a lifetime of struggle and lack of opportunities. This is especially true for children living in areas where quality eye care isn’t available.

If a child can’t see, they can’t go to school. If they can’t go to school, they can’t get an education. Without an education, they have little hope of creating a life better than the one they were born into.

All around the world, there are millions of children suffering needlessly from blindness and vision loss that could be easily treated. That’s millions of children whose health, happiness, quality of life and opportunities for the future could be dramatically improved with access to quality eye care.

A routine surgery, some antibiotics or even just a simple pair of glasses could mean the chance to go to school, get an education and ultimately escape a generational cycle of poor vision and poverty for good.
