HOYA Vision Care Canada

Orbis and HOYA share a passion and a purpose – to change people’s lives and help them thrive by changing how they see the world. This passion for improving access to eye care is part of HOYA’s culture, and it's a big part of why HOYA has been a Global Partner of Orbis since 2021.

In 2022, HOYA Vision Care Canada and their staff began supporting Orbis in Canada through our virtual Flight for Sight fundraising event. In 2023, the HOYA Vision Care Canada team joined in on our annual Plane Pull for Sight fundraiser with a team in all three event cities. Through a combination of corporate support and employee fundraising, they raised almost $12,000!

In 2024, they took their support to the next level by becoming a national sponsor of the event. HOYA Vision Care Canada’s President, Steven Haifawi, says that the work Orbis does to prevent avoidable blindness is key to HOYA’s commitment to supporting the event. “It goes lockstep with our mission at HOYA to provide people with the best vision they can have, and to impact their lives in the most positive way.”
