In Canada, we usually think about cataracts as something our grandparents have. Over 350,000 cataract surgeries take place each year, all paid for by provincial and territorial health insurance plans. Even during the pandemic, the average wait time for cataract surgery in Ontario was 125 days. We need your help to treat people who have been waiting a lifetime.

It's estimated that 200,000 children worldwide are blind due to cataracts, and between 20,000 to 40,000 babies are born each year with congenital cataracts.

Cataracts Are the Leading Cause of Blindness in the World...

... affecting 65 million people.

13 million people are completely blind as a result of cataracts, while 52 million experience some form of vision loss.

HELP THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN WAITING A LIFETIME FOR SURGERY.

FOR EVERY $36 WE RAISE, SOMEONE IS ABLE TO RECEIVE THE TREATMENT THEY NEED.
